When Todd & Susie B moved to Escondido, the hot and dry weather had them thinking that watering the front lawn was a waste of our city water resources. They heard about the San Diego County Water Authority WaterSmart Turf Replacement Program, which would reimburse us for the costs of removing our lawn and replacing it with something more WaterSmart. They followed all the instructions carefully and were able to get the entire project paid for, from the plants to the labor to even some help from a landscape design professional.

Plants Used

Tea Tree, Birds of Paradise, Dwarf Bougainvillea, Salvia, Elephant Food, Copper Spoons, and an assortment of succulents, among others.
