Project
When Terre moved into the new Beachbreak complex, the landscaping was not appropriate for the area. Two magnolia trees that were struggling to survive were planted in the courtyard. The whole area lacked any sense of warmth or welcoming. Her husband constructed an 8 foot tall beautiful succulent gutter stand, which they filled with succulent clippings. The day of the install everyone from in the complex came out to help, it was truly a labor of love. Additionally they planted a 50 foot planter that runs East-West along Evergreen full of succulents. They are so proud of their gutter project and it was even featured by San Diego’s succulent designed Laura Eubanks on her Facebook page, Design for Serenity. Since the gutters are planted with only succulents they need no extra water other than the local rainfall.
